CPD Accredited Well-being  Workshops for Parents and Educators Across the Midlands

Schools, nurseries and childcare settings

With the worrying rise in mental health issues in children; many schools and nurseries are looking for ways to support the pupils in their care. Training staff is an affordable and sustainable way of providing settings with the knowledge, skills and resources to use as part of the school day as an emotional regulation tool or behaviour management strategy.

As a Mini Me Yoga Ambassador, I am qualified to deliver staff training to schools, nurseries and other childcare settings.  These can be delivered in house to individuals, groups or whole staff and are tailored to suit the individual needs of the delegates. Sports Funding, Pupil Premium and SEND Funding can all be used to fund these workshops.

Staff Training:

Foundation Workshop:
This two hour workshop is for adults who would like to bring yoga, well-being and mindfulness to the children in their lives. Participants receive 14 yoga cards,  a booklet including benefits, an accredited certificate and access to online training to revisit at anytime, in addition to access to a supportive Facebook group. After this training, staff will be confident in delivering a regular 15 minute session to the pupils in their care, or use the elements throughout the day to manage emotions and behaviour and change energy levels.
Investment is £70 per person with all resources included
£65 for groups over 5.

Each large booking (12+) will also receive a school resource pack which includes A4 yoga cards (great for large groups or displays) and a copy of our 15 min MMY book.

Meditation Workshop: Mindfulness can help children by giving them access to tools they can use when stressful situations arise in their life.  It can make them calmer and happier and helps them to enjoy what they are doing in the present moment.
Learn simple techniques to introduce mindfulness and meditation to children and adults.
During the workshop, you will receive a manual, which includes: Meditation methods, guided visualisations, a guided visualisation template and 14 mandalas to use as active meditation. Each delegate will also receive a CPD accredited certificate.
Investment is £70 per person with all resources included £65 for groups over 5.

Explorers' Training:
In this 3-hour workshop, participants learn to expand their skills and dive deeper into the Mini Me Programme learning how to plan sessions of different durations and using props and music to theme lessons.  This is perfect for anyone wanting to link well-being lessons to the curriclum, or run extra curricular sessions. It’s action-packed and full of information as well as practical tools. With each participant receiving 14 cards (different to the foundation cards) and a manual with ready to go plans, everyone leaves with what they need to get started right away.
Investment £120 per delegate or £95 per person for groups over 5

Each large booking (12+) will also receive a school resource pack which includes A4 yoga cards

What delegates say:

Practical session with demonstrations and theory behind practise.  Interesting, informative and manageable. Really enjoyed it, thank you. Victoria

Great handouts, relaxed feel, guided through poses.  Really enjoyed the morning. Alli

I loved the ideas about how to calm children - also learning the poses as I have never done yoga before. Laura

I loved gaining a greater understanding of yoga and how to use it in school with children to help calm or energise them. Clair

It was a calm secure environment  Victoria

What I love about the training is how it embodies the principles of yoga at a perfect level for kids. I use different parts of the mini- me structure at different parts of the school day. I teach Year 1 and they love it- the kids always ask me - “what is the posture of the day ?” Manjit

I took part in the “Graduates day” learning all 3 workshops. It was so interesting and informative. Julia made it fun and easy to understand. I feel that I have learnt all the tools to be a successful kids club leader. Would definitely recommend mini me yoga and Julia Lisa

I experienced 1:1 training with Julia for the Foundation mini me yoga course. I found the delivery and pace of the information great - Julia intuitatively went quicker in the areas I understood well and went into greater depth in the areas of the mini me practices I wasn’t so sure about. I learnt so much in 2 hrs. I would fully recommend Julia as a teacher.  Lara

I liked the background explanations about the reasoning for doing each part.  It has given me the confidence in why I would do this with my kids, I never felt patronised.  It was nice to have snack time! Anna

I like the flexibility of this programme and the chance to discuss the concepts of it! Sarah
