After School Club There are so many physical, social and emotional benefits for a child to practice yoga. By introducing children to yoga, they will learn valuable tools that will help them to be happy, healthy humans throughout their life. Here are just a few ways in which you can expect your child to benefit from this experience:
Most importantly- Yoga is FUN!
Yoga builds core strength, improves posture and increases flexibility; which compliments sport.
Yoga improves balance, coordination and spatial awareness.
Learning breathing techniques helps children to relax, reduce stress and anxiety and create regular sleep patterns.
Children become more aware of their emotions and gain greater control over them.
The interactive nature of the classes increases confidence, creative thinking and communication skills.
During these magical hour long classes, children grow in independence and confidence. We have fun learning yoga poses and breathing exercises through games. Every session is different but each session always starts with a welcome circle and ends with a relaxation. At the end of each block of weeks, children receive a certificate.
Current Classes Currently, all after school classes run by Little Earthlings Yoga are only available to the children who attend the schools where the classes are held.
